A classic Himalayan road route that begins in Kashmir, moves through Ladakh’s high passes and remote valleys, and returns via Jispa. This journey blends culture, dramatic landscapes, mountain driving, and some of the most iconic high-altitude regions in North India.

Day 1 – Delhi to Jammu
A long drive north toward Jammu. Some travellers prefer pushing ahead to Udhampur for a shorter next day.

Day 2 – Jammu to Srinagar
Arrive in Srinagar and unwind with a Dal Lake shikara ride, Mughal garden visits, and traditional Kashmiri food.

Day 3 – Srinagar to Sonamarg
A scenic valley drive with optional glacier visits, horse rides, and stops at Baltal and Nilagrad River.

Day 4 – Sonamarg to Leh
One of the most dramatic drives. Cross Zoji La, pass Dras and Kargil, see Mulbekh Buddha, Lamayuru Moonland, the Indus–Zanskar Sangam, and Magnetic Hill before reaching Leh.

Day 5 – Around Leh
A lighter day for acclimatisation. Visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, monasteries, museums, and explore Leh market.

Day 6 – Leh to Nubra Valley
Cross Khardung La into Nubra. Visit Diskit Monastery, Hunder dunes, camel habitats, and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Day 7 – Nubra to Turtuk
Experience Balti culture near the border. Explore the heritage museum, palace remains, waterfalls, and nearby villages.

Day 8 – Turtuk to Sumoor via Siachen Region
Visit the Siachen base area viewpoint if permitted, relax at Panamik hot springs, and explore Sumoor monasteries.

Day 9 – Sumoor to Pangong Lake
Drive along the Shyok River toward Pangong. Quiet villages, remote terrain, and sunset by the lake define this day.

Day 10 – Pangong to Hanle
A remote high-altitude drive through Changthang with war memorial visits, monasteries, and some of India’s clearest night skies.

Day 11 – Umling La Excursion
Drive to Umling La, among the world’s highest motorable roads, then return to Hanle for rest.

Day 12 – Hanle to Tso Moriri
Cross remote plateau terrain, stop at Puga hot springs, and stay near the peaceful Tso Moriri Lake.

Day 13 – Tso Moriri to Jispa
A spectacular return via More Plains, Baralacha La, Suraj Tal, and Deepak Tal before reaching Jispa.

Day 14 – Jispa to Delhi
Begin the journey back with changing landscapes, carrying memories of high mountains, open roads, and Himalayan silence.
